Nelly making a country album.

Rapper Nelly is definitely making a country album.  He has a pretty tight relationship with the Nashville community, having already collaborated with Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw.  The EP will be titled Heartland, but there’s no word yet on a release date.

Tim McGraw Holding Steady

Tim McGraw is holding steady in his commitment to play the Concert for Sandy Hook Promise on July 17th.  The show has been a target for criticism from activists who feel that it challenges their right to own guns.  But Tim told MSNBC that he stands by his decision.  Sandy Hook Promise is an organization that aims to protect children from gun violence.

"When you see things where you can help and you see situations you can help in, I'm an artist. I'm going to lead with my heart. I live my life leading with my heart. I do the things that I do and support the causes that I support. I try to help in the areas I can help and I do that with my heart. And if I have a decision to lead with my head or my heart, I'm going to lead with my heart every time."

Brett Eldredge Plans Another Stunt

Brett Eldredge is known for doing some pretty wild stuff to celebrate his number-one hits.  He jumped out of a plane for his first chart-topper.  For his second number-one, he swam with sharks.  But the celebration he has planned for his third number-one, “Mean to Me”…might just be his craziest stunt yet.  He’s planning to host a five-course dinner in the sky.  Brett and his team are still trying to work out the logistics of the feat, but he promises that it will happen.

Miranda Lambert Blooper Real

The late W.C. Fields was famous for saying "never work with children or animals" because they're so unpredictable. Miranda Lambert found that old quote to be true while shooting a promo for her animal shelter, Redemption Ranch.

VOTE COLE SWINDELL

Cole Swindell has a great sense of humor.  He’s also one of the ACM nominees for New Artist of the Year.  I’m mentioning these two things together because Cole REALLY wants an ACM WIN!  So much so that he’s created a very “executive” campaign video…just think in the style of our country’s chief executive.  You can vote for your favorites in the ACM New Artist and Entertainer of the Year categories now by clicking the pic above the video...
