Luke Bryan brings back Crash My Playa Event!

Luke Bryan and his fans had such a great time in Mexico this past winter, they’ll do it again next year.  Luke’s Crash My Playa all-inclusive Caribbean beach vacation returns to Riviera Maya, Mexico for four days of fun, sun and music January 22nd through January 26th.  In fact, Luke says you can expect the event to be an annual thing.  Other artists will be added to the bill down the road.  Tickets for the general public go on sale April 9th.

Brad Paisley Gets Married... Again

Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly were thrown a surprise wedding vow-renewal to celebrate their 12th anniversary at the home of a friend recently.  The whole celebration was a surprise – right down to her wedding dress, which was picked out by her best friend.  Brad and Kimberly’s two sons, Huck and Jasper, also took part in the renewal.

Tim McGraw Will Narrate Documentary About Shaq

Tim McGraw narrates the ESPN documentary Shaq and Dale – about the friendship between Shaquille O’Neal and his Louisiana State University coach, Dale Brown.  The gig is a perfect match for Tim, a Louisiana native and big LSU fan.  The documentary premieres on April 13^th.

Keith Urban picks up more awards in native Australia

Keith Urban won two trophies at Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards.  He picked up the honors for International Artist of the Year, as well as International Video of the Year for “Cop Car”.  The awards coincide with the MC Rocks Queensland three-day music festival, where Lady Antebellum, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Young and Maddie and Tae are on the bill.

Miranda Lambert Boosts the Economy

Miranda Lambert isn’t one to sit around with nothing to do.  That’s why she started the Pink Pistol boutique, The Ladysmith Bed and Breakfast and an animal shelter – Redemption Ranch, in her adopted hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma.  Her creative outlets have turned out to be a boon for the town, bringing in lots of tourists and earning her a Friend of Tourism award from Oklahoma’s Chickasaw County Market Association.  The Ladysmith was recently named to Southern Living’s list of the South’s Best Hotels.

CMA Music Festival Acts Announced

The acts for the CMA Music Festival were announced this week.  Among those performing at the Nightly Concerts at LP Field are Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry.  More acts will be added to the bill soon.  If you were hoping to buy tickets – sorry – The CMA Music Festival is sold out.  But no worries…you can see excerpts from the nightly performances in a special to air on ABC later this summer.
